Additional solutions for R-Keeper V6 users:
R-Keeper Cube – create reports Yourself!
Changing market conditions and changes in restaurant and club management requires non-standard and even non-traditional solutions. Taking this into account, R-Keeper developers and programmers provide the Cube Report Module. R-Keeper system includes two pairs of Cube modules: two for an individual establishment (café, restaurant, or club), and the other two – for a chain.
Individual establishment modules: manager’s reports, and bookkeeping storage accounting reports; chain modules for managers/economists – certain establishment’s reports, and total chain report (it is a solution for Head Office).
The key advantage of the R-Keeper Cube report module is that a user can choose from which data to filter reports. In this way, one can create either (often-used) report templates, or under immediate necessity, on-line report of an appropriate layer, and within a few seconds to get data, e.g. five-year data.
All R-Keeper Cube reports can have a digital form – table (percent, amounts, money) or graphic (15 diagrams in 2D or 3D).
Advantages of the R-Keeper Cube Report Module:
- Accounts are made very easily and quickly;
- The received timely information helps in taking the right decisions, and allows managing a company effectively;
- The ability to open R-Keeper Cube reports with MS Excel.

Video surveillance system
It is a solution that helps the owners of food service enterprises to control the work of employees, to avoid financial loss, confusion and delicate situations resulting from staff working at the cash register.
A cash register video surveillance system controls branches of an establishment, and cross cash flow.
The video surveillance system connected to R-Keeper restaurant management system allows You to monitor the work in restaurant dining rooms and cash registers in real time and for previous periods.
System operation: monitoring window is divided into two parts:

One side of the window displays a direct view from the selected camera, and the another - the contents of the operation. The window also displays an employee, his work, actions and operations performed in the program: the contents of the simultaneously edited order, paid receipts and all operations made by an employee.
You can accurately track all employee activities within the monitored area, and compare them with the contents of a printed slip, as the video server gets not only the information, which is reflected on the receipt, but also all cash register operations carried out with that order. The system allows monitoring any suspicious operation performed by a cashier, e.g. “To refuse a dish”, “Apply discount”, “Cancel account printing”, and helps to completely avoid losses due to employee fraud or self-will.
Directly from the reporting program, You can view the video of every receipt for previous periods:
- Order formation
- All additions of an order
- Client’s account printing
- Order payment
Optionally, You can view only those video records that contain dish remains, and view the deleted receipts, all operations and their videos. One mouse click shows the view of the actions when the specific selected operation was performed. The videos can be stored for several months.
If there are several divisions, You can monitor the view of multiple facilities in one program. The selected facilities at that time will be displayed.
Advantages over traditional surveillance systems:
- The image is compared with all the information of employee’s activities - everything can be viewed on one screen.
- Videos are displayed directly from the R-Keeper report program.
- The use of the cutting-edge technology IP cameras. Without the ability to connect a cable to the camera, wireless connection can be installed. The number of video cameras is unlimited.
- A restaurant management can remotely monitor real-time employees’ work in order to evaluate the level of their service.
- Security function is performed at the same time, because the same cameras can carry out the surveillance function at a bar, kitchen, entrance doors, etc.
- Not only the image but also the sound is recorded.
The management can monitor and analyze how the staff communicates with clients, whether they complies with instructions, e.g. “We recommend You...”; “at the moment we have special offers…”
On the other hand, it encourages employees to work well and to make efforts; improves the quality of clients service in the restaurant; increases profits; enhances the image of Your establishment.

Beer accounting and dosage
Beer is the most dispensed drink in Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian restaurants, clubs and bars. It is one of the most popular beverages in the Baltic States, portion of sales of which amounts to the majority of turnover of all alcoholic beverages.
UCS offers a useful product - accurate accounting of draught beer, which counts every drop of the draught beer and brings money into the cash register at the same time.
The system consists of R-Keeper software connected to the beer dosage equipment, the combination of which ensures excellent functionality and performance of the system.
The use of this beer dispense system allows to control beer dispense and to find out exactly how much money entered in the cash register within a certain period of time. The reports inform if too much beer is dispensed, and vice versa – if it is economized at the expense of guests (both beer overfilling and underfilling are negative effects - in one case restaurant is affected, and in another - both the restaurant (due to loss of income) and the guest (because they get insufficient amount of beer).
This solution guarantees that Your employees will not engage in malpractice and will not steal Your money; therefore, You can control them more easily.
This system is especially effective because:
- This accounting equipment enables accurate control of beer dispensing and the money entered in the cash register; therefore, cash register and storage data may be received in a few seconds;
- The system presents data about the amount of beer dispensed at a certain time or about discrepancies between the beer sold and the amount of money received in the cash register;
- An accurate remainder of the product in the storage is known: an additional amount of beer can be ordered without having to stop selling;
- Staff’s time is saved, and sales or stocking mistakes are avoided;
- In the case of malpractice, it is easy to identify an employee who makes a mistake or abuse.

Self-service system
R-KEEPER SELF-SERVICE system is a unique solution for restaurants, bars, night clubs and VIP rooms. Main aim of the system is making an order without waiter's presence. There is a touch screen terminal installed on the desk, which has a friendly and self-explanatory customer interface. There is no need to provide a printed version of a menu to a client, as all required information can be found on the self-service screen, and the desired dish can be ordered.
Using such systems would allow You to produce more detailed information on menu items, including pictures and description. In case customer needs to see a waiter, special button on the desk can be used. The message is transferred directly to the waiter’s pager, or printed on the printer at a bar or other printer.
Main advantages:
- Self-service equipment is resistant to strike and liquids;
- Using self-service equipment You can quickly and easily update menu with new items, pictures and dish description. It takes a few seconds, and there is no need to print a new menu, which reduces additional costs;
- Waiting time is reduced due to automation of ordering procedure, i.e. a client is choosing food and drinks by himself, and waiter only brings it when it's ready;
- User interface is easy changeable: a restaurant can choose screen color theme, and font could be matched to restaurant's style and requirements;
- Self-service system can be used as an advertisement unit: when clients are not using the system, some advertisements could be displayed, like special offers, other information messages;
- Internet services can be offered to clients;
- The cost of a service staff is reduced.

Beer Self-Service system
Today staff still spends most of its time bringing beer to guests, and sometimes guests also get angry trying to call for a waiter, who is constantly in a rush.
UCS offers a convenient R-Keeper Beer Self-Service module. This Beer Self-Service System allows a guest to pour some beer by himself, and have more positive experiences!
A table having a Beer Self-Service System is installed with a beer tap, which lets guests tap as much beer as they want by themselves. An accurate amount of beer is displayed on the screen installed above the table or on the wall. The system ensures that guests always get fresh and cold beer.
The Beer Self-Service System saves staff’s time and effort. Beer sales are in full control, as an employee can see on the R-Keeper system the exact amount of beer consumed by a guest, and cannot change the data; the beer turnover increases, as well.
Additional advantage of the system:
Guests can pre-order the desired amount of beer, and prepay. The chosen limit is not exceeded, and a guest does not experience negative emotions.
- Increases the amount of poured beer and income at the same time.
- More fun and non-standard solution that will distinguish Your restaurant from many others, thus attracting more guests.
- As labour gets more expensive, this solution can reduce the number of service staff.

Client’s monitor
Client’s monitor is recommended in these food service enterprises, where the clients pay at the cash register rather than at the table. The client’s monitor is used as a promotional and communication tool that allows client to see advertisements while waiting in line at the cash register, and detailed order information. The innovation is most relevant for self-service restaurants, fast food facilities, and line-standing service.
Adding the R-Keeper V7 system to this technological innovation makes customer service process even more successful and faster. The client’s monitor looks like a conventional small LCD monitor with the screen divided into two parts:
a) the left side displays an order – a full list of dishes/items ordered, composition of an order, the total sum, and change (until now, a buyer used to see a dish being entered, but not the entire contents of an order and the total sum);
b) the right side displays advertisements: images, texts or video advertisements, which customers see while waiting in line at the cash register. It can be special offers, menu news, current or future sales, or simply the advertisement of a food service establishment.
Restaurant-friendly:
- Cheaper and more operative promotion due to the decreased costs of promotion production, since there is no need to produce paper advertisements, or think of other ways to attract a buyer;
- Attractive offer will induce a costumer to come back;
- There is no additional cost - the advertisement can be created by the same designer or layout artist who had created paper advertisement by now. Visual advertisement may contain text, image or video format;
- Advertisement can be delivered with the sound, if audio equipment is connected upon request.
Buyer-friendly:
- While a customer is standing in line waiting for the change, the LCD monitor displays information about the contents of an order, and useful advertisement.
- The purchase time is more convenient and meaningful; besides, useful information is provided.
• Innovation and new method of promotion
• A part of restaurant’s image
• Relevant customer information
• An advertisement is presented in the most prominent place
• Various promotion methods (text, graphics, video)

Access control system to the VIP rooms
This solution is for designed entertainment establishments – night clubs, strip clubs and other establishments with VIP rooms, restricting regular customers from accessing. In this case, the VIP customers of a bar or club with loyalty cards can get into the VIP room. The system works very simply: the card readers (a card reader with the screen), which are connected to the door opening mechanism, are installed at the entrance door of the VIP room – the system recognizes a user by passing the loyalty card, and allows him/her to enter the VIP room.
The same equipment can be used to scan the loyalty card information in places that have no POS terminal with a card reader mechanism. The system is especially useful if You want to check at the entrance of entertainment establishments the information about a customer with the loyalty card.
The main advantages of the VIP room access control system are its economy and diversity of capabilities for their use: an owner, having installed the system on his/her entertainment establishment, can use it for not only access control, but also for displaying the information about a loyal customer.

Tariff-rating system
The R-Keeper system has the tariff-rating system for managing the R-Keeper work with bowling. It is a part of the R-Keeper restaurant management system that allows You to automatically calculate the price of service time on the base of current tariff rates. This solution is designed for objects, providing services with a value calculated according to the time of use (e.g. billiard, bowling, sauna, tanning).
The tariff-rating system can have two options: A) it operates as a part of the R-Keeper restaurant management system; B) the tariff-rating system UCS PoolJet is a separate program, unrelated to the cash register system.
In the first option, all the necessary data are entered into the managerial computer, and table management is carried out on the cash register. This option is optimal in the companies having the R-Keeper software package.
In the second option, separate software with all the data necessary for the system is installed into a regular desktop computer. Also, all the functions (such as table management, report preparation, etc.) are carried out on the same computer. A check printer can be connected to it, or checks can be closed at the regular cash register.
The biggest advantage of this system is the capability to work with graphic room scheme and the installed loyalty card system. With this system, tables can be managed from Pocket PCs. If You want to use the tariff-rating system, You have to complete the list of tariff rates and equipment on the managerial computer. The system uses the definition "Equipment" for the tariff-rating object. The tariff rate plan is drawn up, i.e. the game price per minute is fixed, depending on time, weekday or specific date. In this way, the system will automatically calculate the discount by a certain time of day or week. If prices are different for certain types of services, the corresponding tariff rate groups can be created. Each group is set with a minimum fee. The game price may be charged per minute or hour. The operator can open and close tables – in case of billiard, and tracks – in case of bowling. The information about the actual played time and the sum will be automatically transferred to the visitor’s account.
Report on equipment allows You to see the detailed information about (bowling, billiard, etc.) equipment load at the selected period of operation:
- Total time of the given equipment use at the selected time period;
- Average daily load percentage;
- Average daily time of equipment use.
There is the possibility to manage on the cash register the lighting installed above the billiard table. For this purpose, the billiard table lighting control equipment is connected to the computerized cash register, which turns the light on by choosing the billiard service on the cash register, and selecting the number of a billiard table. This means that billiard can be played only by entering it to the cash register. If guests sit together at a table, and order a billiard game, they can get one (common) check with the total sum for the billiard, and ordered dishes.

Access control system
It is a complex of hardware and software, which consists of a turnstile with the bar code reader, mounted at a club entrance. The design can be chosen according to a customer’s needs, or the interior of a club. Visitor access to a club takes only 6-7 seconds, and technical features of a turnstile ensure that a visitor enters without unnoticing. Each visitor of a club is counted, and reports of various sections are provided on the base of this matter.
Technical equipment is designed for large flows of people; thus, it is durable and reliable.
Key advantages of the system:
- You can have maximum (i.e. all) income for tickets;
- The system requires minimal security - only 1 or 2 security guards can stand at the entrance;
- The system is connected to the loyalty system: the same ticket can be used as a discount card or coupon for goods/services;
- Accurate collection of statistical data is guaranteed: the flow of visitors and their expenditure for drinks and food per night are under control.

Local messaging system
With increasing competition in the food service business, the restaurant managers’ demand of for a competitive and qualitative advantage is growing. More than 30 restaurants in the Baltic States have already installed the R-Keeper system module Local Messaging System, which is a great way to accurately, quickly and efficiently organize the transfer of prepared dishes and beverages to restaurant visitors.
A waiter receives a text or audio message into his/her pager about the prepared dish or drink. In this way, the service time is shortened about 30 percent; visitors are satisfied with fast service; dishes do not get cold, etc. This solution is designed to optimize intercommunication between restaurant departments (manager, bartender, cook, and waiter).
System advantages:
- Faster and better service;
- Optimal utilization of labour;
- Up to 30% increase in the efficiency of a restaurant.
An additional module – waiter call button.
A call button on a guest table gives the chance to invite a waiter if a guest is willing to give or supplement the order, or to pay. The main purpose of the system is to increase table turnover by enabling to provide more efficient, faster and better quality service to guests. This system provides a quantitative and competitive advantage, as well as exceptional service.
This technology becomes a necessity if there is a big distance between the dining room, kitchen, bar or office, or if the dining room layout does not allow visual control of all tables. For example, if there are several dining rooms, or if the interior includes walls, niches, offices, etc.

Mobile stocktaking
Most restaurants perform the stocktaking “manually”: the table of goods is printed; the balance is hand-written; and then all the information is entered to a computerized accounting system. Such stocktaking is time-consuming; besides, error probability remains high due to the spelling and input errors.
In order to facilitate the work of kitchen staff, we offer to food service enterprises a handheld computer with built-in scanner for inventory of kitchens and storages of the food service enterprises.
Before carrying the stocktaking, the barcodes and numbers of the goods are transferred from the computerized accounting system to the handheld computer. An employee no longer needs to look for an item in papers, because the computer scans a barcode (the barcode table can be created for goods without barcodes). After the item barcode is scanned, an employee needs only to enter its amount. Subsequently, all the information is transferred to the common database.
Mobile stocktaking ensures:
- Mobility – goods can be inventoried even in the outermost corner, storage or hallway;
- Efficiency – saves the time of entering data to the program;
- Speed - no need to search an item in the list - a barcode is scanned, and the quantity of goods is entered;
- Integration with accounting software - the data saved in the handheld computer are immediately transferred to the accounting program;
- Security - data cannot be deleted even if You forget to save them, because the next time You open the handheld computer, the same information appears;
- Real-time analysis of results - no need to wait for an accountant to enter results
- Simplicity - extremely easy to use, no complicated operations;
- Accurate data - data are entered by one person, who immediately enters the data into the computer. In this way, data input errors are limited to a minimum.

Line Standing Service
It is a solution commanding more attention in fast food restaurants. This is a guest service while standing in line at the cash register. A waiter enters an order into the portable terminal at the guest standing in line. The order is instantly displayed on monitors, or printed on order printers.
After an order has been entered, a guest receives a check with his/her order and payable sum. At the cash register, he/she only needs to pick up the food and pay. By the way, a guest can also supplement his/her order. In addition, a guest, who is aware of the payable sum, prepares the required amount of money, which speeds up the service.
System advantages:
- More guests can be served during the same period of time;
- Convenient and easy user interface;
- Ability to select additional modifiers (dressings, extras, etc.);
- Description of dish composition (while taking orders, an employee can comment on dish composition and features visible on the screen of the portable terminal);
- The menu layout on the screen in the most convenient way for staff;
- Reliable, strike- and fluid-resistant hardware ensures reliable operation of the system.
